We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions.
Engineering Technician – Hardware Design
Position Summary:
The candidate is responsible for supporting design engineers in the development of printed circuit boards and products. The candidate will report to a project Technical Leader. Duties include capturing schematics, generating engineering drawings, assembling printed circuit boards, building cables, researching components, assembling units at the system level, troubleshooting designs, and performing functional and environmental testing.
Qualifications:
- Experience in schematic capture and printed circuit board layout design
- Experience in the product development cycle including the transition of product designs into manufacturing
- Familiarity with environmental testing including Mil-Std 810 and FCC Part 15 specifications
- Proficient in soldering
- Experience in RF testing is a plus
- Experience in Labview programming is a plus
- Able to work as part of an energetic and fast-paced design team
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, OrCad Capture
- Occasional travel may be required
Education Level:
- 2 yr. Engineering or Electronics degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
Staff Engineer – Hardware Design
Position Summary:
The candidate is responsible for translating product design requirements into detailed hardware designs. The candidate will interface with a Technical Leader and be responsible for the detailed hardware design of subsystems within a project. Duties include reviewing requirements, performing analog and digital printed circuit board designs, researching components, generating design documentation, and testing of circuitry and systems.

Qualifications:
- Experience in schematic capture and printed circuit board layout design
- Experience in transitioning product designs into manufacturing
- Familiarity with wireless protocols including 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS, cellular, RFID, and Zigbee
- Familiarity with environmental testing including Mil-Std 810 and FCC Part 15 specifications
- Able to work as part of an energetic and fast-paced design team
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
Education Level:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in analog and/or digital hardware design.
Senoir Staff Engineer – Software Design
Position Summary:
The candidate will define software architecture and implement embedded solutions based on detailed requirement specifications. The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as in a team environment, and occassionally mentoring team members. Duties include reviewing requirements, software architecture, design and test, schedule input, set-up of development/test environments, use of debugging tools, use of configuration management tools and the generation of design documentation. Good communication skills are essential. Travel is not anticipated, but occasional travel is possible.
Qualifications:
- Experience with C/C++ is required
- Experience building Linux kernels, drivers and applications for custom boards is required
- Experience working with hardware engineers to assess processors/components and specify system architecture
- Familiarity with wireless applications (cellular, Bluetooth, Zigbee, RFID, 802.11) is a plus
- Experience with an assembly language (ARM, X86, or PowerPC preferred)
- Knowledge of file system alternatives and storage technology
- Familiarity with the use of SVN/CVS and Wiki tools are a plus
- Experience using low level debuggers
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Experience using an oscilloscope/logic analyzer is a plus
- Able to work as part of an energetic and fast-paced design team
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
Education Level:
- MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years experience developing embedded Linux applications is required.
Staff Engineer – Software Design
